I got hit with the same type of thing as above but didn’t fall for it. The file name is best-folder-scanv3.com – I can’t find anything on your site that talks about that particular file but am wondering if it is the same as the one mentioned here, bestfoldervirusscanv3.com ?? Do I have to worry about anything if I didn’t open the file or accept any of the buttons, have I been hit with some other virus anyway?
LeAnn,
The problems you’ve come across is basically the same ol’ thing as the one descibed in our post above. Bestfoldervirusscanv3.com and Best-folder-scanv3.com are both equally annoying browser hijackers of Personal Antivirus, just different names. The trick is – you probably have Personal Antivirus trojans on your PC which are playing havoc with your browser by redirecting it to sites like Best-folder-scanv3.com. You can run a free scan with Spyware Doctor and detect the core of the problem.
