How to remove Internet Defender rogue anti-spyware
Malware Description:
Internet Defender is unambiguously malicious software that does its bad job too well for users to stay alert and prevent its invasion. This program is labeled as rogue for the following reasons. First off, Internet Defender is very similar-looking to Security Defender fraud (we dedicated a separate post to the latter a while ago) and, just like its clone, persistently tells its victims that it is a cutting-edge computer protection utility destined to provide ultimate certainty that the PC will be safe due to its activity. Secondly, this malware reports loads of imaginary (i.e. non-existent) parasites on your machine, even though your Operating System is most likely to be clean in the meanwhile. Also, Internet Defender never asks for one’s permission before accessing a PC – we mean it enters bypassing the normal authentication which is a guideline for regular software to be installed. Now, let’s move on with our analysis and have an insight into what exactly Internet Defender does when running on your computer. It displays some annoying security notification like the “Internet Defender Firewall Alert” stating that keylogger activity has been detected or that a certain number of infections have been found. These popup ads are not all to Internet Defender’s pranks though. Yet another bad side effect of this rogue’s presence is the false scanning it implements. Once in a while, Internet Defender will imitate a scan of your computer system, usually right after every reboot. As you must have predicted, the scan will disclose to you the sad truth consisting in the alleged fact your PC has 10 malware applications which are highly recommended to be removed immediately. The biggest trick is when you actually go ahead and proceed doing what Internet Defender tells you to, you will be ending up on the same scam page where the criminals expect you to pay some money for buying your licensed copy of this application. So the main conclusion you should draw from this description is you must not trust Internet Defender program and get rid of it at once.
